Building Project

How can you help with a building project?

We do not require volunteers to be skilled or experienced.
Our staff can teach you how to perform each task and they will work with you as you learn.

In addition to construction activities, you can help with:

  • keeping the build site clean.
  • using your pickup truck to haul material and tools.
  • providing, preparing, and delivering, and serving food.

Planning to help with construction?
Please bring your own tools (marked with your name) and remember to take them home after each day.

Construction Schedule / Activities
Davie Habitat homes are built with the help of volunteers, except the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work which will be conducted by professional builders.  Note that this is an ideal schedule.  Activities may change as a result of weather, productivity, inspections, and subcontractor or material availability.  Please use it as a guideline for scheduling yourself or your group with this project.  Questions or comments may be emailed to:  director@daviehabitat.org.
