We do not require volunteers to be skilled or experienced. In addition to construction activities, you can help with:

Construction Schedule / Activities Davie Habitat homes are built with the help of volunteers, except the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work which will be conducted by professional builders. Note that this is an ideal schedule. Activities may change as a result of weather, productivity, inspections, and subcontractor or material availability. Please use it as a guideline for scheduling yourself or your group with this project. Questions or comments may be emailed to: director@daviehabitat.org. Weeks 1 & 2: Construction volunteers need muscle for lifting wall panels, trusses, and decking. Volunteers also needed for light work. Tools to Bring: hammer, work gloves, tape measure, pencil, utility knife, nail apron.
Weeks 3 & 4: Construction volunteers needed to work at the ground-level, on the roof, and on ladders with siding. Volunteers also needed for light work and cleanup Tools to Bring: hammer, work gloves, tape measure, pencil, utility knife, nail apron, dust mask.
Weeks 5 & 6: Construction volunteers needed to hang and trim doors, install cabinets, for painting, and for landscaping. Volunteers also needed for light work and cleanup Tools to Bring: hammer, work gloves, tape measure, pencil, utility knife, nail apron, dust mask, ladder, and paint supplies.
Weeks 7 & 8: Volunteers needed for painting, gutter work, interior accessories punch out, landscaping, light work and cleanup Tools to Bring: hammer, work gloves, tape measure, pencil, utility knife, nail apron, dust mask, ladder, and paint supplies.
